Summer camps are places that kids enjoy the beauty of the outdoors, the fun of kid-friendly games and interactions, the role model of caring young adults and camp leaders.

Christian camp brings an awareness of God into daily life so that the lines between things “spiritual” and things “secular” become blurred. The holiness of creation is injected into the joy of mud-sliding, gratitude is realized in roasting marshmallows over a flickering fire, God’s care for all can be found in buddy games, devotions, and even late night stories from counselors. Daily joy and adventures points to God above, below, in and around – discovered in places that God is often passed over – giving new eyes of awareness and new ears for God’s voice of joy and love for all creation.
A good Christian summer camp is an excellent tool for a life-long friendship with God. Brochures and a Camp Perkins carpool sheet can be found at the Welcome Center for families who want to coordinate sessions and/or carpooling.
