WELCOME TO THE NURSERY
Isaiah 66:13
As a mother comforts her child,
so will I comfort you.

CoG’s Mission

To build confident followers of Jesus Christ who love God, neighbor and self.

The Nursery

The Nursery is available for ages 3 and younger only.
Infant Room: Infants and pre-walkers.
Toddler Room: Toddlers who are confident walkers.

Parents are welcome at any time.

Our Purpose

We believe building confident followers of Jesus Christ begins at birth.  Our nursery is designed to support parents and create a safe, healthy, caring environment for children from birth to 3 years.  We use developmentally appropriate activities to introduce children to God’s love and joy.

Policies & Procedures

Arrival/Departure

Sunday nursery opens at 8:15 am and closes 15 minutes after the ending of the 11 am  worship service.

Parents check-in their children the nursery.

Please thoroughly complete the sign-in form each week so anyone caring for your child will have the ability to know your child’s needs.

Please leave a diaper bag.

Diaper bags should be labeled with your child’s name and equipped with diapers, wipes, extra clothing, bottles etc.  Please make sure all items are labeled with your child’s name.  Include instructions for bottle feedings or snacks on the sign-in sheet. Children undergoing toilet training should have a change of clothing in a labeled bag.

Parents will receive a vibrating pager at sign-in.

You will be paged to return to the nursery if your child becomes upset and cries for more than 10 minutes, or if the attendants need to contact you for any reason.  For the safety and comfort of all, please return promptly to check on your child’s needs.

Check-out requires a parent signature and pager return, for a child to be released.  Children will not be released to other adults or siblings.

Health & Safety

Share love, not germs! In consideration of other children and nursery attendants, please do not bring your child to the nursery if they are sick  (runny nose, cough, fever, vomiting, diarrhea).  Nursery toys are sanitized on a regular basis.  Toys that have been in a child’s mouth will be placed in a special bin for cleaning.  Crib sheets and blankets will be changed after each use.

Nursery Routine

Snacks will be offered once each hour in the nursery.  Snacks will include pretzels, fish crackers or animal crackers.  Please list any allergies or special instructions regarding snacks on the sign-in sheet as there may be special snacks on occasion.

Nursery attendants will change diapers as needed or assist children in using the bathroom.

We love to hold and rock babies – or allow them to sleep if needed.

Toddlers, ages 2 & 3, have a Sunday school time at 9:45 in the toddler room with songs, art, snack, and a story that shares a message of God’s love.

Caregivers care about children and teaching our youngest learners the joy of faith.
